About

Curcumin is the primary bioactive compound in turmeric with potent anti-neuroinflammatory and neuroprotective properties. Enhanced bioavailability forms cross the blood-brain barrier and may reduce amyloid-beta aggregation. A UCLA 18-month RCT found bioavailable curcumin improved memory test performance and reduced brain amyloid/tau PET signals in non-demented adults.

How It Works

Crosses the blood-brain barrier in enhanced forms; binds to amyloid-beta plaques reducing aggregation; reduces tau phosphorylation; exhibits potent anti-neuroinflammatory effects; stimulates hippocampal neurogenesis via BDNF upregulation.
